What’s Included in Every Oregon City & Coast Tour
Every tour runs on the same standard — whether it’s a half-day trip to Oregon City and Willamette Falls or a sunrise-to-sunset coast expedition from Astoria to Newport.

Your Stops, Your Pace
Spend an hour on Cannon Beach at low tide or 20 minutes for photos. Add a stop at Tillamook Creamery or skip it. Your driver waits at every stop — you set the schedule.
Flat-Rate Day Pricing
Your tour is quoted flat for the day. Drive to 3 coast towns or 5 — the price doesn’t change. No mileage overages on winding coastal roads.
Door-to-Door From Portland
We pick you up at your exact Portland address and return you to the same door. No meeting at a downtown staging lot, no park-and-ride.
Local Driver Knowledge
Our drivers know which beaches are best at low tide, which viewpoints catch sunset, and which Highway 101 pullouts most visitors drive right past.
Photo Stops Built In
We build photo stops into every route — Ecola State Park overlook, Hug Point sea caves, Cape Meares lighthouse, and Yaquina Head’s tidepools. Tell us what you want to see.
Oregon City & Coast Tour Rates
All tours quoted flat by hours, vehicle, and pickup location. No per-mile charges on Highway 101, US-26, or US-30. Additional passengers: +$10/person.

How Your Oregon City & Coast Tour
This is where rental cars and tour buses both fail — you either drive unfamiliar coastal roads after a long day or sit on a bus with 40 strangers and 15 minutes at each beach.

Step 1 — Tell Us Your Coast Wish List or Let Us Build the Route
Send us your must-see spots or just ‘half day, Cannon Beach’ or ‘full day, north coast.’ We build the route with photo stops and lunch, then quote flat.
Step 2 — Your Driver Picks You Up and Takes the Scenic Route
Black minivan or Sprinter at your Portland door. To Cannon Beach via US-26 through the Coast Range, or to Astoria via US-30 along the Columbia River — the drive is part of the experience.
Step 3 — Multi-Stop Tour at Your Pace — Beaches, Viewpoints, Towns & Lunch
At each stop, your driver parks and waits. Walk the beach for an hour, climb the Astoria Column, taste cheese at Tillamook, watch whales at Depoe Bay. Your schedule, your call.
Step 4 — Sunset on the Coast, Then Home to Portland Before Dark
Time the last stop for golden hour on the beach, then your driver takes you home door-to-door. Most coast tours return to Portland by 7–8 PM in summer.

Oregon Coast Regions & Oregon City
362 miles of public coastline, every beach free and accessible. We drive to every stretch — from Astoria at the Columbia’s mouth to Gold Beach near the California border.
Oregon City
22 miles south of Portland at the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas rivers. Willamette Falls (40 feet high, 1,500 feet wide), the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, McLoughlin House, and the 1915 Municipal Elevator.
North Coast
Where the Columbia River meets the Pacific. Astoria’s Victorian waterfront, Seaside’s promenade, and Fort Stevens’ shipwreck beach. 78–95 miles from Portland via US-30 or US-26.
Cannon Beach & Ecola State Park
Haystack Rock, Ecola’s headland views, and Hug Point’s sea caves. 80 miles from Portland. The most-photographed stretch of Oregon coast.
Tillamook & Three Capes
Tillamook Creamery (Oregon’s most-visited food destination), Cape Meares Lighthouse, Cape Lookout trail, and Cape Kiwanda’s sandstone cliffs at Pacific City.
Central Coast
Lincoln City’s 7-mile beach, Depoe Bay whale watching, and Newport’s Oregon Coast Aquarium and Nye Beach arts district. 100–130 miles from Portland.
South Coast
Sea Lion Caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse near Florence, the 40-mile Oregon Dunes, Bandon’s Face Rock, and Gold Beach on the Rogue River. Multi-day territory from Portland.
Inland Connections
Combine a morning in Dundee Hills wine country with an afternoon at Cannon Beach or Pacific City. The Chehalem Mountains connect directly to Tillamook via NW Wilson River Road.

Top Stops on Every Oregon City & Coast Tour
These are the stops our coast and Oregon City passengers book most. We’ve driven to each one hundreds of times — here’s what to see and where your driver will be.
Haystack Rock
Oregon’s most iconic coastal landmark. Tide pools at low tide, tufted puffins in spring, and the beach walk from Hemlock Street. Driver stages on Hemlock.
Ecola State Park
Dramatic viewpoints looking south to Haystack Rock and north to Tillamook Head. One of the most photographed coastal scenes in Oregon. $5 day-use parking — your driver handles it.
Astoria Column
Climb 164 spiral steps for views of the Columbia River mouth, the Pacific, Saddle Mountain, and the Coast Range. Driver stages in the Coxcomb Hill lot.
Columbia River Maritime Museum
The Columbia River bar — the ‘Graveyard of the Pacific.’ Coast Guard rescue history, lightship Columbia, and bar pilot exhibits. Waterfront location on Astoria’s Marine Drive.
Willamette Falls
40 feet high, 1,500 feet wide — wider than Niagara. Viewed from the McLoughlin Promenade overlook in Oregon City. Combined with the Oregon Trail Center and McLoughlin House for a half-day heritage tour.
Tillamook Creamery
Oregon’s most-visited food destination. Free self-guided factory tour, cheese and ice cream tastings, and the creamery store. Driver stages in the visitor lot on US-101.
Oregon Coast Aquarium
World-class aquarium with the Passages of the Deep walk-through tunnel, sea otters, and tide pool touch tanks. Newport’s top attraction, 2–3 hours for a full visit.
Depoe Bay
Gray whales year-round from the seawall. The world’s smallest navigable harbor with a spouting horn that shoots ocean spray across Highway 101. 15 minutes north of Newport.
Hug Point
Sea caves accessible at low tide and a waterfall that drops directly onto the sand. 5 miles south of Cannon Beach. Driver stages in the Hug Point parking area.
End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center
Where 300,000 pioneers ended their 2,000-mile journey. Interactive exhibits inside covered-wagon-shaped buildings. Combined with Willamette Falls and McLoughlin House for the full Oregon City heritage tour.

What Makes a Private Coast Tour Different From a Group Bus
A private tour isn’t a narrated bus ride — it’s your own driver with local knowledge, flexible timing, and no strangers deciding when you leave the beach.

Tide-Table Timing
Tide pools and sea caves are only accessible at low tide. We check the tide table before your tour and route Cannon Beach and Hug Point when the tide is out — not when the bus schedule says so.
Combine Coast + Wine Country in One Day
Morning at Cannon Beach, afternoon at Dundee Hills wineries. Or Tillamook Creamery to Pacific City to Carlton tasting rooms. We combine regions that bus tours can’t.
Sunset Timing
Summer sunset on Cannon Beach is 9 PM. We build your route so the last stop lands during golden hour — not at 3 PM when the bus needs to head back.
Accessible to All
WAV vehicles with ramp entry for mobility-limited travelers. Car seats for families with infants and toddlers. Every Oregon beach is free and most have accessible paths from the parking area.

Private Coast Tour vs. Group Tour Bus vs. Rental Car — Which Fits Your Trip?
Three ways to see the Oregon coast from Portland. One lets you stay for sunset, change the plan at lunch, and not worry about Highway 26 in the dark.
Group Tour Bus
A bus hits 2–3 coast stops with 40 people on a fixed schedule. You get 20 minutes at Haystack Rock (not enough to reach the tide pools), miss Hug Point entirely, and head back to Portland at 3 PM — 4 hours before sunset.
Rental Car
You navigate US-26 through the Coast Range for the first time, miss the Ecola State Park turnoff, fight for parking at Cannon Beach, and drive 80 miles home on a winding highway after a long day. You see the coast but you’re exhausted.
Private Coast Tour
Your driver picks you up at your hotel, takes the scenic route, stages at every stop, and brings you home door-to-door after golden hour on the beach. You spend the day with your feet in the sand, not your hands on a steering wheel.
